Job summary

Frontline Wildfire Defense is seeking a builder-minded Director of Construction Safety to lead safety across residential and commercial operations. You will set strategy, build a multi-state program, and lead a team in the field with stop-work authority.

Reporting to the COO, you will partner with Legal, Operations, and Finance to embed safety as a core operating pillar while scaling nationally. This role suits a leader who has built safety programs at multi-location firms and wants broader

Qualifications

• 10+ years of construction safety experience with 5+ years in leadership.
• Proven ability to build safety programs across multiple locations.
• Experience managing subcontractor safety and prequalification.
• Deep knowledge of OSHA 29 CFR 1926 and Cal/OSHA.
• Strong written and verbal communication; travel willing.

Responsibilities

• Set vision, strategy, and long-range roadmap for construction safety across regions and lines of business.
• Lead, coach, and develop the safety team and hiring plan.
• Own the safety budget including training, PPE, and safety tech.
• Report safety performance, risk trends, and program priorities to COO/board.
• Maintain stop-work authority and build a culture of safety.
