Job summary

Clark Careers is seeking a Senior Safety Manager to protect workers, partners, and the public on large construction sites in Williamsburg, VA. You will enforce safety programs, mentor staff, and partner with supervisors to develop safe work plans across all project phases.

The role requires strong communication, leadership, and a proactive approach to hazard mitigation, third-party safety reviews, and workers' compensation management.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of construction safety experience with relevant degree or equivalent experience.
• Strong ability to communicate and influence supervisors, peers, and external partners.
• Proven capability to manage large scale, high-profile projects.
• Experience in crane, fall protection, excavation, scaffolds, and heavy equipment safety.

Responsibilities

• Drive the Clark safety culture on a project.
• Oversee safety of employees, trade partners, and the public.
• Enforce safety programs and local, state, and federal standards.
• Lead and mentor a safety staff and manage client expectations.
• Identify exposures and recommend corrective actions.
