Job summary

H&K Group, Inc. is seeking an experienced Construction Safety Specialist to support heavy civil and highway projects across Eastern PA, NJ, and DE. The role focuses on safety oversight, incident analysis, and training to promote a culture of safety on multiple sites.

You will collaborate with Field Safety Specialists and management to maintain compliance, conduct inspections, and implement corrective actions. A strong safety background and relevant certifications are essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of direct construction safety oversight experience.
• Degree in occupational safety and health, environmental health and safety, physical sciences, or related field.
• OSHA 500 Card for Outreach Trainer Authorization.
• Ability to read and interpret plans and drawings.
• BCSP credentials such as STS-C, CHST, ASP, or CSP.

Responsibilities

• Inspect job sites to detect hazards and document findings with safety software.
• Lead root cause analyses of incidents and implement preventive measures.
• Collect incident documentation and report to operations and regulators.
• Develop and conduct safety training to promote a safety-focused culture.
• Assist with regulatory audits and ensure compliance and prompt corrective actions.
• Coordinate with Field Safety Specialists and Safety Department management to ensure coverage at all sites.
• Perform industrial hygiene surveys and determine necessary PPE.
