Job summary

Turner Construction Company in Fredericksburg, VA seeks an experienced Environmental Health & Safety leader to enforce site compliance on a major construction project. You will partner with EH&S and project teams to apply policies, train workers, and manage environmental and hazardous materials reports.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years in construction safety, CHST certification, OSHA 30, and strong leadership and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Engineering, or related field.
• CHST certification required or within 2 years of appointment.
• OSHA 30-hour training completed and First Aid/CPR/BBP/AED certifications current.
• Knowledge of Federal, State, and local EH&S regulations.
• Strong leadership and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead EH&S on a single construction project and enforce safety policies.
• Coordinate training and educate project teams on safe practices.
• Develop action plans to mitigate exposures and improve safety metrics.
• Review subcontractor safety programs for compliance with regulations.
