Safety Management Group (SMG) seeks a Safety Director in Lebanon, Indiana to oversee safety program ownership and execution on a mega construction project. The role involves leading teams, ensuring compliance, and partnering with the client and contractors to uphold safety policies.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of construction safety experience.
• 3+ years leading teams/departments and owning programs.
• Commissioning experience.
• OSHA 30-Hour Construction Course.
• Degree in Safety or related field.

Responsibilities

• Manage teams/departments, oversee program execution and ownership.
• Support project leadership with safety on a mega construction project.
• Ensure local/state/federal safety compliance aboard the project.
• Liaise between client and contractors on safety policies.
• Foster a safety culture aligned with the client's vision.
• Conduct safety observations and corrective actions for unsafe practices.
• Keep stakeholders informed on safety performance of contractors.
• Facilitate incident reporting procedures.
• Provide boots-on-the-ground safety resources and coaching.
• Influence proper safety plan execution and participate in investigations.
