Safety Management Group in Lebanon, Indiana is seeking a Safety Manager to lead construction safety on a mega project. You will oversee teams, ensure program ownership, and coordinate with clients and contractors to enforce safety policies.

The role requires extensive construction safety experience, commissioning exposure, and a professional degree in Safety. Excellent leadership and incident investigation skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of construction safety experience.
• 3+ years of experience managing teams/departments and program ownership.
• Commissioning experience.
• Degree in Safety or related fields.
• OSHA 30-Hour Construction Course.

Responsibilities

• Manage teams/departments, oversight of program execution, and program ownership.
• Support project leadership with safety on a mega construction project.
• Partner with the project team to support the proper execution of all local/state/federal safety requirements.
• Serve as a liaison between the client and contractors, fulfilling operating procedures and safety policies.
• Partner with the project team and all trade partners to build and maintain a safety culture aligned with the client's vision.
• Conduct safety observations and establish appropriate corrective actions for unsafe conditions or practices identified during field visits.
• Keep stakeholders informed of the safety performance of the contractors working on the project.
• Facilitate Incident Reporting Procedures.
• Provide safety boots on the ground resources for the client to ensure program execution.
• Provide coaching to contractors when gaps are identified and communicate safety expectations.
• Influence the proper execution of safety plans and participate in event investigations.
