Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks an experienced Construction Quality Manager II to oversee the quality control program on large, multi-phase projects under USACE/NAVFAC standards, with field inspectors and technicians reporting to you. You will write the QC plan, run three-phase control meetings, and be the primary interface with the owner's QA representative for all test results and nonconformances.

Qualifications

6+ years in construction quality control or special inspection, including 2+ years supervising inspectors.
USACE CQM-C certificate and ICC/NICET certifications are required.
Experience on USACE, NAVFAC, DOT, or industrial owner quality programs.
Clear writing and ability to hold the line in meetings with superintendents and owner reps.

Responsibilities

Write and maintain the project quality control plan and gain acceptance by the owner or agency.
Lead preparatory, initial, and follow-up phase meetings for every definable feature of work.
Supervise QC inspectors and testing technicians; assign daily coverage and review reports.
Run the nonconformance and corrective-action process and present it in owner QA/QC meetings.
Coordinate laboratory testing, mix design approvals, and material certifications across subcontractors.
