Job summary

Construction Material Testing in Edmond, OK seeks a Construction Quality Manager II to oversee the quality control program on large scale projects, including heavy civil, industrial, or federal work under USACE or NAVFAC standards. You’ll write the QC plan, coordinate field teams, and be the primary point for all test results and nonconformances.

This role requires extensive field presence, travel as needed, and the ability to communicate clearly with owners and superintendents.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in construction quality control or special inspection, including 2+ years supervising inspectors.
• USACE CQM-C certificate plus ICC Special Inspector or NICET Level III certification.
• Experience on USACE, NAVFAC, DOT, or industrial owner quality programs.
• Writes clearly and holds the line in a room of superintendents and owner representatives.

Responsibilities

• Write and maintain the project quality control plan and get it accepted by the owner or agency.
• Lead preparatory, initial, and follow-up phase meetings for every definable feature of work.
• Supervise QC inspectors and testing technicians.
• Assign daily coverage and review their reports.
• Run the nonconformance and corrective-action process and present it in owner QA/QC meetings.
• Coordinate laboratory testing, mix design approvals, and material certifications across subcontractors.
