Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks a Construction Quality Manager II to lead the quality control program on large or multi-phase projects, including heavy civil, industrial, or federal work under USACE/NAVFAC quality requirements.

You will write the project quality control plan, run the three-phase control meetings, and defend every test result and nonconformance in front of the owner's QA representative. Texas-based roles involve travel to active jobsites with per diem as needed.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in construction quality control or special inspection; 2+ years supervising inspectors
• USACE CQM-C certificate plus ICC special inspector or NICET Level III certification
• Experience on USACE, NAVFAC, DOT, or industrial owner quality programs
• Clear writing and ability to assert positions with superintendents and owner reps

Responsibilities

• Write and maintain the project quality control plan and get it accepted by the owner or agency
• Lead preparatory, initial, and follow-up phase meetings for every definable feature of work
• Supervise QC inspectors and testing technicians
• Assign daily coverage and review their reports
• Run nonconformance and corrective-action processes and present in owner QA/QC meetings
• Coordinate laboratory testing, mix design approvals, and material certifications across subcontractors
