Job summary

Construction Material Testing in Texas seeks a Construction Quality Manager II to lead the quality control program on large multi-phase projects, including heavy civil, industrial, or federal work under USACE/NAVFAC quality requirements. You will write the project QC plan, run the three-phase control meetings, and own all test results and NCRs on site.

You will supervise QC inspectors and testing technicians, coordinate lab testing and material certifications, and interface with the owner's QA

Qualifications

6+ years in construction quality control or special inspection, including 2+ years supervising inspectors.
USACE CQM-C certificate and ICC special inspector or NICET Level III certification.
Experience on USACE, NAVFAC, DOT, or industrial owner quality programs.
Writes clearly and holds the line in a room of superintendents and owner representatives.

Responsibilities

Write and maintain the project quality control plan and get it accepted by the owner or agency.
Lead preparatory, initial, and follow-up phase meetings for every definable feature of work.
Supervise QC inspectors and testing technicians.
Assign daily coverage and review their reports.
Run the nonconformance and corrective-action process and present it in owner QA/QC meetings.
Coordinate laboratory testing, mix design approvals, and material certifications across subcontractors.
