Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks a Construction Quality Manager II to run QC on large or multi‑phase projects—heavy civil, industrial, or federal work under USACE/NAVFAC rules—overseeing field inspectors and technicians. You write the project QC plan, lead three‑phase control meetings, and own test results and nonconformances in owner QA/QC reviews.

Required: 6+ years in construction QC (2+ years supervising inspectors), USACE CQM‑C certificate plus ICC special inspector or NICET Level III,

Qualifications

• 6+ years in construction quality control (QC)
• 2+ years supervising inspectors
• Experience on USACE, NAVFAC, DOT, or industrial owner QC programs
• Excellent written communication and ability to defend test results in meetings

Responsibilities

• Write and maintain the project quality control plan and get it accepted by the owner or agency
• Lead preparatory, initial, and follow-up phase meetings for every definable feature of work
• Supervise QC inspectors and testing technicians
• Assign daily coverage and review their reports
• Run the nonconformance and corrective-action process and present it in owner QA/QC meetings
• Coordinate laboratory testing, mix design approvals, and material certifications across subcontractors
