Job summary

Construction Material Testing is seeking a Construction Quality Manager II to run the quality control program on large projects. You will oversee field inspectors and technicians, write the project QC plan, and chair three-phase control meetings with the owner's QA representative.

You will ensure tests are documented, NCRs closed with root causes and corrective actions, and coordinate lab testing and material certifications across subcontractors.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in construction quality control or special inspection.
• USACE CQM-C certificate plus ICC special inspector or NICET Level III certification.
• Experience on USACE, NAVFAC, DOT, or industrial owner quality programs.
• Writes clearly and holds the line in a room of superintendents and owner representatives.

Responsibilities

• Write and maintain the project quality control plan and get it accepted by the owner or agency.
• Lead preparatory, initial, and follow-up phase meetings for every definable feature of work.
• Supervise QC inspectors and testing technicians.
• assign daily coverage and review their reports.
• Run the nonconformance and corrective-action process and present it in owner QA/QC meetings.
• Coordinate laboratory testing, mix design approvals, and material certifications across subcontractors.
