Job summary

Accura Engineering seeks a Senior Construction Representative for the Kentucky Lock project in Grand Rivers, KY. The role focuses on field QA inspections, surveillance, and ensuring contractor compliance with plans, specs, and EM 385-1-1/OSHA safety rules.

Qualified candidates bring 20+ years in construction QA, heavy civil experience (dam/lock projects), and USACE exposure, with OSHA 30 certification. Excellent reporting, RFIs, and coordination skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 20 years of construction industry experience.
• At least 20 years of Quality Assurance experience on construction projects.
• Experience with Federal Construction projects, particularly USACE.
• Experience with large heavy civil projects (dam and lock).
• Experience enforcing EM 385-1-1; OSHA Construction Industry regs.
• Experience enforcing OSHA rules and regulations.
• 30-hour OSHA certification required.
• Must perform inspections, submittal reviews, quality verification, and daily reports.

Responsibilities

• Perform field QA inspections for compliance with plans and specs on a large heavy civil project.
• Provide field surveillance and three-phase inspections with daily reports.
• Ensure contractor work aligns with schedule, plans, specs and safety requirements.
• Inspect materials, installation and testing for contract compliance.
• Review submittals including QA and Safety Plans; ensure OSHA compliance.
• Monitor deficiencies and maintain audit trails for corrective action.
• Review contractor QC reports for accuracy and deficiencies.
• Conduct safety inspections and document activities.
• Provide onsite quantity verifications and report progress.
• Maintain updated plans/specifications with amendments and as-builts.
• Track deficiencies, field issues, and RFIs.
• Record daily activities and NAS-related progress.
• Preliminarily analyze contractor claims and chronology.
