Job summary

Southland Industries, a leading on-site construction procurement partner, seeks a Senior Purchasing Agent to manage material, equipment, and service purchases for active projects. You will liaise with project teams, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely, cost-effective purchasing and schedule adherence.

Responsibilities include PO processing, supplier coordination, and inventory transactions using COINS ERP.

Qualifications

• High school degree or G.E.D required.
• Minimum 5-7 years of experience in purchasing or customer service support.
• Experience with Microsoft Suite—specifically Excel, database software, and ERPs (COINS preferred).
• Ability to work in a continuous improvement environment.

Responsibilities

• On-site project purchasing and placing orders.
• Coordinate with suppliers on delivery dates, lead times, and back orders.
• Maintain supplier pricing and vendor information in COINS ERP and spreadsheets.
• Prepare RFQs/RFPs and solicit quotations from vendors.
