Job summary

Kokosing, a leading general contractor, seeks an experienced Project Manager to plan, direct, and coordinate construction activities for industrial projects such as water/wastewater facilities, factories, and data centers. You will supervise engineers, superintendents, and foremen to deliver projects on time and within budget.

Responsibilities include client liaison, objective setting, staffing, schedule oversight, risk management, and financial control.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
• 7+ years’ experience in construction, design, finance, and management.
• PE credentialing is not required but is a strong plus.
• Open to other large construction experience.

Responsibilities

• Initiate and maintain liaison with prime client to facilitate construction activities.
• Establish project objectives, policies, procedures and performance standards within corporate policy.
• Confer with project staff to outline work plan, assign duties and responsibilities and authority.
• Establish work plan and staffing for each phase of project - arrange recruitment or assignment of project personnel.
• Direct and coordinate activities of project personnel to ensure work progresses on schedule and within budget.
• Review project proposal or plan to determine timeframe, funding limitations, project procedures, staffing requirements, and available resources.
• Review status reports from project personnel and modify schedules/plans as needed.
• Prepare project reports for management, client, or others.
• Confer with project personnel to provide technical advice and resolve problems.
• Coordinate project activities with governmental agencies and subcontractors.
• Understand and analyze CPM-based project schedules.
• Monitor/control construction to ensure safety, schedule, and budget compliance.
• Represent company in Owner progress meetings.
• Manage financial aspects of contracts and project profitability.
• Lead project team in daily field coordination meetings and weekly schedule meetings.
