Job summary

Vistra Energy is seeking a Project Manager – Construction to lead planning and execution of construction projects including thermal, solar, and energy storage. The role involves managing contractor activities, ensuring timely and budget-compliant project completion, and collaborating closely with internal teams.

Candidates should have an engineering degree and at least 10 years of relevant experience, ideally in thermal power plants. The position requires occasional travel and irregular hours according to project demands.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of relevant experience in power generation operations, maintenance, engineering, budgeting, contractor management.
• Preferred experience in thermal power plant project execution.
• Will manage other project managers, construction managers, and/or design/field engineers.

Responsibilities

• Lead large scale projects from conception to completion.
• Negotiate Engineering Procurement and Construction (EPC) contracts.
• Plan construction activities and develop site-specific project execution plans.
• Ensure on-time and on-budget project completion in accordance with standards.
• Collaborate with Vistra support functions and external partners.
