Job summary

Atlantic Constructors, Inc. is seeking a Project Manager for commercial construction in Roanoke, VA.

The PM will oversee all facets of planning and delivering mechanical, plumbing, sheet metal, HVAC, electrical, and fire protection projects, coordinating with subcontractors and clients to meet design and constructability goals. The role requires leadership to ensure financial targets are met, and to uphold ACI’s quality program across sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering and 7–10 years project management experience.
• At least 10 years mechanical or electrical contracting experience.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Self-starter with minimal supervision.
• Able to adhere to company policies and schedules.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain a positive relationship with internal project teams, our customers, subcontractors, and key vendors.
• Coordinate with pre-construction, sales, safety, purchasing, CAD/BIM, fabrication shops and client personnel.
• Develop and maintain a construction plan and schedule; scope out vendor quotes.
• Scope out subcontractors, issue subcontracts, and guide fabrication scheduling.
• Monitor manpower, materials, deliveries, and mentor site leadership to stay on budget with no defects.
• Prepare, monitor, and maintain project budgets and report to senior management.
• Create revenue forecasts, value schedules, cash flow analyses, and other financial analyses.
• Identify changes in scope, price changes, and submit change orders.
• Develop recovery plans for projects facing safety, quality, or production issues.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
