Job summary

A&E + SMA Design seeks a Construction Project Manager III/IV to join our Bozeman team. You will lead construction phase services for a portfolio across southwest Montana, acting as owner’s advocate and coordinating with owners, contractors, and design teams.

The role offers autonomy in a satellite office setting with support from Construction Studio leadership. Based on experience, placement at PM III or IV will reflect your ability to manage complex projects independently.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of progressively responsible experience in construction management or related field.
• Demonstrated experience managing multiple commercial, public, institutional, healthcare, or educational projects.
• Strong understanding of construction documents, contracts, and delivery methods.

Responsibilities

• Lead construction phase services from kickoff through closeout.
• Serve as the owner's advocate and the design team's primary construction phase representative.
• Manage submittal reviews, RFIs, change orders, and pay applications.
• Conduct constructability reviews and monitor progress against contracts and specs.
• Coordinate meetings and maintain project documentation; monitor budgets and schedules.
• Mentor junior staff and collaborate across the Construction Studio.
