Job summary

A&E + SMA Design seeks a Project Architect to join our Billings market. You will oversee design development, guide projects through construction, and ensure client satisfaction with a strong design leadership mindset.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Architecture, an architectural license, and 5+ years of design experience (8–10 preferred). Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam and Newforma is expected; travel up to 25% is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in architecture; license required.
• Minimum 5 years of design experience (8–10 years preferred).
• Ability to communicate complex design ideas to audiences with varying knowledge.
• Experience guiding architecture and design projects within budget and schedule.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary consultant liaison to complete projects on schedule and within budget.
• Provide overall project design and development to ensure documents conform with agreements.
• Lead technical development and QC of construction documents.
• Represent firm in client communications and manage meetings and contracts.
• Schedule and record meetings; track progress, schedule, and billing milestones.
