Job summary

Clune Construction is seeking a Senior Project Manager in Austin, TX to lead complex commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. You will mentor project teams, drive safety, quality, and schedule, and partner with owners, designers, and subcontractors to deliver on program goals.

The ideal candidate has at least 9 years of construction project management experience, with 2-3 years in commercial work, plus a BS in Construction Management, Architecture, or Engineering.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred in Construction Management, Architecture or Engineering.
• 9+ years of construction project management experience.
• 2-3 years of experience specifically in commercial construction.

Responsibilities

• Support business development and operational excellence by participating in recruiting, mentoring, training initiatives, strategic planning, and continuous improvement efforts that strengthen Clune's project delivery and culture.
• Lead project pursuits and preconstruction strategy by participating in client interviews, RFP responses, presentations, conceptual estimating, value engineering, constructability reviews, procurement planning, and development of GMP and lump sum proposals.
• Provide strategic leadership throughout the project lifecycle by establishing execution plans, defining project goals, aligning teams, and ensuring successful delivery from preconstruction through closeout.
• Lead subcontractor procurement and commercial management by directing bid strategy, evaluating proposals, negotiating contracts, mitigating commercial risk, and ensuring successful trade partner performance.
• Serve as the primary executive liaison for owners, architects, engineers, and trade partners, fostering long-term relationships, managing expectations, resolving complex issues, and driving exceptional client satisfaction.
