Job summary

Walbridge is seeking an experienced construction leader to provide overall administrative and technical direction for a large, complex project. You will interface with client representatives, A/E teams, subcontractors and end users to ensure delivery within design, budget and schedule.

Responsibilities include setting objectives, supervising project staff, monitoring safety and costs, and maintaining official logs.

Qualifications

• 4 year construction management /engineering degree or equivalent professional training and experience.
• Extensive (minimum 10 years) experience and knowledge of commercial construction activities, design, finance, and management required.
• Must be able to apply innovative and effective management techniques to maximize employee performance.
• Superior communication and interpersonal skills; business-oriented professional.
• Reporting to regional Vice President of Operations, decisions can impact client relations and profitability.

Responsibilities

• Oversee total construction effort to ensure project is constructed in accordance with design, budget and schedule.
• Interface with client representatives, A/E representatives, subcontractors, end users, security, etc.
• Establish project objectives, policies, procedures and performance standards within corporate policy.
• Plan, coordinate and supervise activities of all company personnel on assigned project(s).
• Monitor/control construction; authorize all purchase requisitions and change requests.
• Maintain project logs and documentation; implement safety programs; direct planning, scheduling, and engineering functions.
• Manage financial aspects of contracts to protect company interests and client relations.
