Job summary

Kokosing, Inc. in Washington, DC is seeking a Senior Construction Manager to plan, direct, and coordinate complex industrial projects.

You will oversee project engineers, superintendents, and foremen to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery across water/wastewater plants, data centers, and industrial facilities. The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management, 10+ years of construction experience, and strong leadership, budgeting, and CPM scheduling skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
• PE credentialing is not required but a strong plus.
• 10+ years of construction, design, finance, and management experience.
• HVAC experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Initiate and maintain liaison with prime client to facilitate construction activities.
• Establish project objectives, policies, procedures and performance standards within corporate policy.
• Confer with project staff to outline work plan, assign duties/responsibilities and authority.
• Establishes work plan and staffing for each phase of project - arranges for recruitment or assignment of project personnel.
• Directs and coordinates activities of project personnel to ensure work progresses on schedule and within budget.
• Reviews project proposal or plan to determine timeframe, funding limitations, procedures, staffing requirements, and resources.
• Reviews status reports from project personnel and modifies schedules/plans as needed.
• Prepares project reports for management, client, or others.
• Confers with project personnel to provide technical advice and to resolve problems.
• Coordinates project activities with governmental agencies and subcontractors.
• Understands CPM-based project schedules and monitors progress.
• Monitor/control construction through on-site supervision to ensure safety, schedule, and budget adherence.
