Job summary

Collier County Government is seeking an experienced professional to manage and coordinate activities of general construction and technical projects within an assigned Division. The role provides direction to contractors and work crews, prioritizes daily work, and ensures compliance with codes, safety procedures, and budgets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor1s degree in a related field.
• Three (3) years of related experience.
• Fingerprinting required.

Responsibilities

• Manages and coordinates activities of general construction and/or technical projects for an assigned Division.
• Provides direction, guidance and assistance to contractors and work crews on routine projects; coordinates daily work activities; organizes, prioritizes, and assigns work; monitors status of work in progress and inspects completed work.
• Confers with contractors and work crews, assists with complex/problem situations, and provides technical expertise.
• Ensures compliance with all applicable codes, laws, rules, regulations, standards, policies and procedures; ensures adherence to established safety procedures; interprets construction plans and specifications; research code books as needed.
• Develops program and reports as required by permit; coordinates with various divisions and consultants to prepare application documents.

Education
