Sherwood Staffing Partners is seeking a Senior Project Manager for a well-established general contractor in Jackson, MS. You will lead commercial, renovation, historical, and ground-up projects from preconstruction to closeout, owning budgets and schedules while mentoring junior PMs and coordinating with owners and design teams.

Ideal candidates have 6+ years with a GC, experience across project types, and the ability to manage full project financials on sizable endeavors.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of project management experience with a general contractor.
• Experience across multiple project types, including renovation or historical work.
• Ability to own full project financials on meaningful size projects.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Lead commercial, renovation, historical, and ground-up projects from preconstruction through closeout.
• Own project financials including budgets, forecasting, change orders, and cost reviews.
• Manage buyout, subcontracts, submittals, RFIs, and procurement.
• Build and drive the project schedule with the superintendent and field team.
• Serve as the main point of contact for owners, architects, and design teams.
• Mentor Project Managers, Assistant PMs, and Project Engineers, helping grow the team.
• Support business development through relationships and repeat client work.

Senior Project Manager | General Contractor | Jackson, MS | $130,000 to $145,000 Base + Bonus

A well established general contractor in Jackson is looking for a Senior Project Manager to take on a portfolio of work across commercial, ground up, renovation, and historical restoration projects.

This is a full time, direct hire role with a builder that has been steady through every cycle and treats its people like the reason for it.

What you will be doing

What we are looking for

• 6+ years of project management experience with a general contractor
• Experience across multiple project types, with renovation or historical work a strong plus
• Comfortable owning full project financials on projects of meaningful size
• Someone who leads well, communicates plainly, and holds a team to a standard without burning it down
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field, or the field experience to match it
• Based in or willing to relocate to the Jackson, MS area

Compensation and benefits

• $130,000 to $145,000 base depending on experience
