Qualifications

• 7+ years of commercial construction experience.
• Experience as a Project Manager / Senior Project Manager for a General Contractor.
• Ground-up and/or renovation commercial construction experience.
• Proven ability to manage projects from preconstruction through completion.
• Strong budgets, schedules and contracts understanding.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Based in Houston or surrounding areas.

Responsibilities

A well-established General Contractor in Houston is looking to add an experienced Senior Project Manager to their team.

The company specializes in a mixture of ground-up and renovation commercial projects across the Houston market, with a strong pipeline of upcoming work.

The Role

The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing projects from preconstruction through completion, working closely with clients, subcontractors, vendors, Project Engineers and Superintendents.

Responsibilities include:

• Managing commercial construction projects from start to finish
• Overseeing project budgets, schedules and overall performance
• Managing subcontractors, vendors and project stakeholders
• Reviewing contracts, plans and specifications
• Handling RFIs, submittals, change orders and project documentation
• Maintaining strong client relationships throughout the project
• Working closely with the Superintendent to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget
• Leading and mentoring project team members

Requirements

• 7+ years of commercial construction experience
• Previous experience as a Project Manager / Senior Project Manager for a General Contractor
• Strong ground-up and/or renovation commercial construction experience
• Proven ability to manage projects from preconstruction through completion
• Strong understanding of budgets, schedules and contracts
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Must be based in Houston or the surrounding areas
