Job summary

Coakley & Williams Construction in the DC area seeks a Senior Construction Project Manager to lead complex commercial projects from preconstruction through closeout. You will direct multi-disciplinary teams, manage safety, schedule, and budget, and ensure client satisfaction across Commercial, Higher Education, Multi-Family, Life-Sciences, and Government sectors.

You will collaborate with owners, architects, engineers, and subcontractors, oversee procurement and cost control, and mentor project

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required or related field.
• LEED Specialty Accreditation preferred.
• Demonstrated experience with construction financials, scheduling, and management of multiple trades.
• Proven track record in client satisfaction and profitable project delivery.
• OSHA 30-hour, First Aid, and CPR certifications.
• Proficiency with MS Office 365, Procore, and Bluebeam.
• Knowledge of Primavera scheduling and BIM.

Responsibilities

• Lead commercial construction projects from preconstruction and procurement through execution, turnover, and closeout, with accountability for safety, quality, budget, schedule, and client satisfaction.
• Enforce the company safety program and ensure compliance with policies and legal requirements.
• Provide leadership to project teams by setting goals, assigning tasks, monitoring performance, and mentoring.
• Participate in preconstruction, estimating, bidding, constructability reviews, logistics planning, RFP responses, and presentations.
• Develop and maintain project schedules; monitor progress and implement corrective actions.
• Lead procurement activities including scope development, tracking, and subcontractor negotiations.
• Manage subcontractor performance and contract compliance; maintain budgets and cost control; handle change orders and cost-loaded schedules.
• Oversee project communications and documentation with owners, architects/engineers, RFIs, submittals, permits, risks, and closeout.
• Support business development by maintaining client and industry relationships, monitoring market conditions, and pursuing new work with Strategy & Acquisition.
