Job summary

Berglund Construction is seeking a Senior Project Manager - Construction to lead complex commercial projects across markets in Illinois. You will direct budgeting, scheduling, cost controls, and subcontractor management to ensure safety, quality, and on-time delivery.

Strong client relations drive repeat business and project success. The role reports to senior leadership and requires collaboration with project teams, site personnel, and subcontractors to maintain profitability and client

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years’ of progressive project management experience in the construction industry.
• Proven track record delivering projects in at least three markets: healthcare, K-12, higher education, etc.
• Proficiency in project management software: Procore, MS Project, Bluebeam, etc.
• OSHA knowledge and commitment to job site safety.

Responsibilities

• Manage all phases of commercial construction projects from award through final completion.
• Lead budgeting, scheduling, cost controls, and resource allocation across multiple market sectors.
• Direct subcontractors, vendor selection, and field personnel.
• Review plans, specs, and contracts for compliance.
• Conduct regular job site visits to monitor progress, quality, and safety.
• Monitor project performance metrics and implement corrective actions.
