Job summary

Walbridge is seeking an experienced executive to provide overall administrative and technical direction for a large, complex project or several medium projects through subordinate managers.

You will oversee construction to ensure adherence to design, budget and schedule, interfacing with clients, A/E representatives, subcontractors and end users. Strong leadership and budgeting skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 4-year construction management or engineering degree or equivalent professional training and experience.
• Extensive (minimum 10 years) experience in commercial construction activities, design, finance, and management.
• Superior communication and interpersonal skills; must be a business-oriented professional.

Responsibilities

• Oversee total construction effort to ensure project is constructed in accordance with design, budget and schedule.
• Establish project objectives, policies, procedures and performance standards within corporate policy; plan, coordinate and supervise activities of all personnel on assigned project(s).
• Monitor/control construction through on-site supervision to ensure schedule and budget; authorize all purchase requisitions and change requests.
• Ensure all policies and standards are adhered to and interpreted as required.
• Maintain official project log and documentation; assist with safety program implementation and planning, scheduling, and engineering functions.
• Manage financial aspects of contracts to protect company’s interests and maintain good client relations.
• Assume additional responsibilities as directed by regional management.
