Job summary

Sundt Enterprise is seeking a Project Executive to lead assigned projects to safe, profitable, and timely completion. The role champions execution from preconstruction through construction, guiding contract review, schedules, budgets, and quality control on high-value projects.

Ideal candidates bring extensive experience with large, complex builds and a deep knowledge of contract documents, scheduling systems, and cash flow.

Qualifications

• Experience in preconstruction and in managing construction projects.
• Four-year construction-related degree or equivalent combinations of technical training and/or related experience.
• Proficient use of all Microsoft Office Suite programs.
• This manager level typically manages large, complex projects and has 20+ years of experience in the field.
• Thorough knowledge of contract documents, materials, equipment utilization, scheduling systems, productivity analysis, construction operations, and cash flow procedures.

Responsibilities

• Champions the transition of projects from estimating to field, including contract requirements, schedules, and budgets.
• Completes close-out requirements and punch lists in a timely manner; handles warranty callbacks.
• Coordinates with the Project Team on means and methods for profitable execution of work.
• Establishes working relationships with owners, architects, engineers, and subcontractors.
• Develops PMP including scope, procurement, environmental, time, financial, quality, safety, and risk plans.
• Has overall responsibility for project success including safety, schedule, profitability, quality, and customer satisfaction.
• Manages billings and payment processes with owners and subs to maintain cash flow.
• Develops CPM schedule aligned with procurement and project timelines; uses Lean for scheduling activities.
• Participates in business development: client contacts, proposals, presentations, negotiations.
• Provides feedback to estimators for future bids and subcontractor evaluations.
• Prepares Monthly Progress Reports in coordination with Superintendents; uses reports to manage costs.
• Prepares and executes purchase orders and subcontracts concerning insurance and lien waivers.
• Understands prime contract terms and conditions, contract documents, and change orders.
• Reviews estimates with focus on cost-control, equipment, constructability, formwork, materials, manpower, and general conditions.
