Job summary

MGAC in Los Angeles, CA is seeking a Junior to Mid Construction Project Manager to support on-site and oversee multi-phased construction projects. The role emphasizes coordinating design management, contract administration, and client communications.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in construction PM, a related degree, and strong skills in MS Project/Primavera P6, Procore, and reading drawings. Travel and on-site duties are involved.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or associate degree in construction management, business, architecture, engineering or related field preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in construction project management.
• Experience with base building, commercial, cultural, life sciences, corporate fit-out and/or developer work.
• Excellent analytical, organizational and communication skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office, MS Project or Primavera P6, PDF tools, and Procore or similar PM platform.
• Ability to read construction drawings and knowledge of major building systems (MEP, FLS).
• Experience with scheduling software such as MS Project or Primavera P6.

Responsibilities

• Participate as a team member of project managers to execute multi-phased projects and meet client expectations.
• Oversee construction oversight, design management, contract management and project communications.
• Monitor field progress, perform schedule analysis and ensure quality control.
• Interface with construction team and client decision-makers.
• Participate in meetings covering budgeting, scheduling, procurement, execution and closeout phases.
• Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Prepare accurate project documentation for all phases.
• Advocate for the client during disputes or change orders.
• Track invoices, purchase orders and financial commitments.
