Job summary

BE&K Building Group in Charleston, SC, seeks a Project Executive/Operations Manager to provide senior operational leadership for one or more high-value construction projects, ensuring safety, quality, schedule, profitability, and client satisfaction.

The role may oversee a single $75M+ project or multiple initiatives, partnering with business development, recruiting, and executive leadership while directing project teams and maintaining strong client relationships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
• Minimum of 12 years of commercial construction project management experience.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience at the Senior Project Manager level or equivalent leadership role.
• Proven experience successfully leading large-scale commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and lead diverse project teams.
• Strong client relationship management and business development experience.
• Deep understanding of project financial management, scheduling, contract administration, quality control, safety management, and risk mitigation.

Responsibilities

• Provide overall leadership and accountability for project performance.
• Develop and execute project strategies that support client objectives and business goals.
• Lead project teams to achieve safety, quality, schedule, and profitability targets.
• Manage multiple project teams and mentor project management and field leadership staff.
• Ensure projects are adequately staffed with qualified personnel.
• Establish and monitor project profitability goals.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, cost controls, and financial reporting.
• Review profitability analyses and implement strategies to mitigate risks and maximize opportunities.
• Oversee owner billing processes and monitor subcontractor and vendor payments.
