Job summary

Redmond Construction Corp. is seeking a Project Engineer II to support delivery of commercial interior projects in Chicago.

You will handle procurement, submittals, and financial administration while coordinating with Project Managers, Superintendents, and trade partners to maintain momentum and ensure timely execution. The role requires 3+ years in project engineering, familiarity with estimating, and strong organizational and communication skills.

Qualifications

• 3+ years as a Project Engineer in commercial interior construction.
• Experience in preconstruction and estimating.
• Proficiency with RFIs, submittals, insurance and contract administration.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Support multiple concurrent projects (typically across 3–4 projects).
• Set up project folders and template documents.
• Assist with permit process and permit corrections.
• Set up new projects in Procore and maintain electronic binders.
• Create and manage submittals, RFIs, and procurement logs with PM oversight.
• Prepare clear, structured RFIs and documentation for stakeholders.
• Document meetings and coordinate with PMs, Superintendents, and trade partners.
