Job summary

Turner Construction Company in San Antonio, TX is seeking an experienced Project Engineer to manage information flow, budget, and quality against contract documents. The Engineer oversees assistants, interns, and staff, and acts as the on-paper lead for the project.

You will coordinate with architects, subcontractors, and owner representatives, supervise submittals and COs, review drawings, and develop reports and schedules to ensure timely, on-budget completion.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree plus a minimum of four years' related experience; proven written and verbal communication abilities; proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; utilizes BIM and LEAN technologies; ability to read and interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work and project schedule; demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Acting as liaison with Architects, Subcontractors, Consultants, Suppliers, Inspectors and Owner's Representatives; Overseeing and making decisions related to contract drawings and subcontract information; Managing the project budget; Managing submittals and shop drawings; Negotiating Change Orders and managing information on changes in the Work; Overseeing the close-out process and preparing final records; Supervising engineers and interns; Preparing Scope of Work documents; Developing reports and logs; Scheduling subcontractor meetings and reviews.

Education

Bachelor's degree + 4 years of related experience
