Job summary

Turner Construction Company is seeking a Project Engineer for the Austin Main division. You will manage information to build the project on time, within budget, and to contract quality, supervising engineers, assistants, and interns on site in Austin, TX.

Responsibilities include coordinating with architects, subcontractors, and inspectors; reviewing drawings; managing submittals and change orders; and overseeing close-out records. Strong communication and BIM/LEAN familiarity are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree plus ≥4 years related experience.
• Proficiency with MS Office.
• Ability to read and interpret contract documents.
• Knowledge of BIM and LEAN principles.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Acting as liaison with Architects, subcontractors, consultants, suppliers, inspectors and owner representatives.
• Overseeing and deciding on contract drawings and subcontract information; ensure drawings align with estimates.
• Managing project budget and submittals/shop drawings; resolve conflicts.
• Negotiating change orders; analyze changes with subcontractors and obtain approvals.
• Overseeing close-out process; prepare final records (RFIs, OMs, warranties).
• Supervising engineers, assistants, clerks and interns; provide performance input.
