Job summary

CV Resources is seeking a Project Accounting Manager to lead the project and construction accounting function in Nashville, TN. You will drive AIA billings, WIP reporting, and month-end close while partnering with project teams to ensure accurate financials.

The role requires hands-on leadership, strong ASC 606 knowledge, and the ability to supervise staff, train analysts, and implement efficient processes across the ERP system.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of project or construction accounting experience including AIA billing, WIP, and close.
• Strong ASC 606 knowledge and application.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting preferred; related fields with strong experience considered.
• Understanding of percentage-of-completion accounting principles.
• Experience in the construction industry or property services preferred.
• Advanced Excel skills (formulas, pivot tables, data analysis).
• Experience with Viewpoint Spectrum or ability to learn construction ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle project and construction accounting, including AIA billings, WIP schedules, percentage-of-completion accounting, and month-end close activities.
• Oversee supplier and vendor lien waivers, ensuring timely collection, accuracy, and compliance.
• Partner with project managers to monitor project financial performance, budgets, cost-to-complete estimates, and revenue recognition.
• Ensure accurate AIA billing, cost tracking, lien management, and Work in Process (WIP) reporting while supporting project teams and senior leadership.
• Prepare and analyze Work in Process (WIP) reports and support senior management with financial insights.
• Lead billing, collections, and cash application activities related to project accounting.
• Utilize and/or learn Viewpoint Spectrum or similar construction ERP systems to manage project financial data.
