icon Mechanical is seeking a Senior Project Accountant for our Nashville, TN office. The ideal candidate has 5-8 years in billing, with strong communication, interpersonal, and detail-oriented skills to support project finances and reporting.

Responsibilities include setting up new jobs, invoicing, certificates of insurance, contract compliance, and assisting collections to improve cash flow. Construction experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• 5-8 years of experience in billing or a similar role.

Responsibilities

• Provide project finance support and analysis for assigned projects.
• Set up new jobs from job information sheet.
• Request and track Certificates of Insurance for assigned projects.
• Review contract requirements, provisions, and terms.
• Prepare customer billing with timely, accurate documentation.
• Assist in collecting outstanding payments and cash flow management.
• Prepare and submit project reporting (e.g., certified payroll).
• Review projection and budget issues monthly for cost/revenue recognition.
