Job summary

The City of Indianapolis is seeking a Construction Services Supervisor to assist the Administrator in overseeing critical construction program management for locally funded projects in Marion County. You will help lead Senior Project Managers and Project Managers in multi-modal transportation, environmental, and stormwater initiatives.

This role requires strong knowledge of City, State, and FHWA policies and excellent oral and written communication, as well as conflict resolution skills.

Qualifications

• Technical degree or certification with 5+ years of equivalent experience.
• Extensive knowledge of City, State, and FHWA policies and specs related to construction.
• Excellent oral and written communication and conflict resolution skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Administrator in overseeing construction program management of locally funded multi-modal, transportation, structural, and stormwater projects.
• Provide staff supervision and technical assistance in construction specification, plan interpretation, construction scheduling, planning, and construction materials.
• Ensure that all construction management activity is performed on schedule, within budgetary limits, and in accordance to current statutes, ordinances, specifications and contract requirements.
• Support management in overseeing Senior Project Managers and Project Managers in general engineering activities.
