Job summary

City of Indianapolis & Marion County is seeking a transportation planning professional to oversee local and federal infrastructure projects with emphasis on planning, compliance, and multi-modal initiatives.

The role includes providing technical guidance on design specifications, scheduling, and CIP planning, in a dynamic city environment. Candidates should have a technical degree or 10+ years of related experience; GIS experience is preferred and strong communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Technical degree/certification or ten plus (10+) years of related work experience required.
• Experience working in GIS preferred but not required.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills and conflict resolution abilities.

Responsibilities

• Provides oversight to planning & compliance management of local, federal, multi-modal, transportation, structural, and stormwater projects.

Duties performed in a standard office environment, outdoors, and in a vehicle, involving standing/walking, walking on uneven terrain, close and far vision, reaching, bending at waist, and exposure to varying weather conditions and physical hazards normally associated with construction sites.
