Job summary

W.E. O’Neil in Chicago, IL seeks a Project Manager with Estimating experience to lead a $10–$60 million project from inception through completion.

You will work closely with the Estimating team during preconstruction, set GMPs, enforce safety, and drive cost control and schedule adherence with the project team. The role requires strong leadership, CPM scheduling knowledge, and experience managing subcontractors and reporting.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture or related field.
• Proficiency in basic computer skills (MS Word, Outlook, etc.).
• Advanced understanding of scheduling, CMiC and Excel.
• Experience with construction administration processes: contracts, RFIs, submittals, procurement.
• Advanced proficiency in P6 and CMiC scheduling software.
• Ability to lead and manage project teams and coordinate with Estimating.
• Experience bridging Estimating and Operations on projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead a project with $10M-$60M budget across multiple delivery methods.
• Collaborate with Estimating during preconstruction to set GMP and General Conditions.
• Maintain site safety programs with Superintendents.
• Monitor profitability and cash flow; manage monthly reporting.
• Review and negotiate Change Orders with subcontractors.
• Prepare comprehensive subcontractor bid packages and analysis.
• Oversee CMiC setup, submittals, and documentation; ensure closeout readiness.
• Lead weekly OAC and owner meetings; coordinate with Owner, architect, and CM.
• Coordinate procurement logs and schedule alignment with P6 / CMiC.
