Mortenson Construction in Denver seeks a Project Manager to lead project quality, schedule, and safety while mentoring the team. The role also focuses on building strong customer relationships through exceptional service.

The position offers two levels (PM1 and PM2); compensation is based on experience and location, with base pay ranges shown and eligibility for Mortenson's incentive plan.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction, civil, or architectural engineering or construction management.
• Current driver's license.
• Ability to travel up to 100%.
• Proven ability to fulfill responsibilities for complex projects.
• Detail-oriented with ability to organize and manage multiple tasks.
• Basic understanding of construction law and business practices.
• Intermediate Microsoft Office and project/web tools.
• Ability to interpret Mortenson policies.
• Strong communication including openness to diverse input and feedback.
• Knowledge of EEO and affirmative action policies.

Responsibilities

• Manage overall financial health of projects including subcontracts and suppliers.
• Develop and maintain project financial projections and allocate project estimates.
• Determine cost codes, approve invoices, and provide financials and billings to Accounting.
• Create monthly owner billings and manage contract billing including buyouts.
• Oversee budget and select trades and suppliers.
• Lead Assistant PM and Project Engineer, assign work and mentor team.
• Approve timecards and provide feedback on performance.
• Serve as main contact with owner and resolve site concerns.
• Execute/change orders and obtain approvals from owner or on-site reps.
• Maintain schedule and budget through project completion with emphasis on quality, safety and compliance.
