Job summary

ECS Limited is seeking an experienced Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Senior Project Manager to join our Charlotte field services team. You will oversee project success from proposal to final invoice, consulting with clients and project teams to meet deadlines.

You will mentor junior PMs, manage budgets, and market services while building lasting client relationships. This role emphasizes leadership in geotechnical and construction materials testing within a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or related field as listed.
Minimum 5 full years of relevant experience.
Professional licensure including PE or PG.
Must have valid driver's license and insurance if driving for ECS.
Strong marketing skills with ability to establish and maintain client relationships.
Excellent communication skills (speaking, reading, and writing).
Sound understanding of heavy construction safety, practices, and procedures.
Sound knowledge of CMT principles, applications, and ASTM laboratory standards.
Strong leadership and decision-making skills when working with clients, peers, and supervisors.

Responsibilities

Manage construction materials testing projects, including daily report review; collaborate with project teams; resolve technical and administrative issues; train field staff on projects.
Manage project budgets, prepare invoices, pay applications, and assist with collection efforts.
Prepare and review proposals and change orders; host or attend project meetings with clients and follow up on reports.
Actively mentor junior project managers and support staff development; collaborate with other managers and recruiters for staffing decisions.
Market ECS services and establish/maintain client relationships.
