Job summary

ECS Group of Companies in Lawrenceville, GA, seeks an experienced Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Principal Engineer to lead our Lawrenceville field services team. You will ensure quality and performance meet our standards while consulting with clients and project teams to achieve goals from proposal to final review.

Key duties include overseeing CMT projects, reviewing technical reports, mentoring staff, assisting with proposals, and expanding our client base through effective networking

Qualifications

• B.S. in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering and Management, Materials Science Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or Geology.
• 12+ years of relevant experience including drafting, reviewing, and approving technical reports.
• Professional licensure as a PE or PG.
• Senior reviewer designation from current/previous firm.
• Valid driver’s license and insurance if driving for ECS.
• Strong leadership, communication, and client relationship skills.
• Knowledge of CMT principles and ASTM laboratory standards.

Responsibilities

• Oversee various CMT projects, review technical reports, prepare and review proposals, and manage department and P&L.
• Provide technical expertise by reviewing reports and mentoring staff.
• Mentor junior project managers and assist with staffing decisions and staff development.
• Attend project meetings with clients and provide technical resolutions as requested.
• Market services through networking and maintain client relationships.
