Job summary

ECS Limited is seeking an experienced Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Associate Principal to join our Greensborofield services team as a senior technical leader ensuring quality and performance of projects. You will provide final reviews, mentorship, and engage with clients while supporting business development.

This role requires extensive CMT expertise, strong leadership, and the ability to manage multiple projects, with focus on technical excellence and ECS Core Values.

Qualifications

• 8 years of related experience with a professional engineering or geology license per ECS Senior Technical Staff Policies and Procedures, or 12 years with certifications;
• Bachelor of Science in Civil/Construction Geology fields preferred; license or certifications maintained as required;
• Established technical expertise in CMT principles, ASTM standards;
• Strong regional market knowledge and client relationships;
• Strong leadership and decision‑making capabilities;
• Experience in technical leadership and multi‑project oversight;
• Excellent communication and consulting skills;
• Strong project management and business development acumen;
• Ability to perform final technical review and validate deliverables;
• Understanding of construction practices and materials performance;
• Ability to mentor and develop staff at all levels;
• Strong risk management and quality control capabilities;
• Valid driver’s license if driving for ECS subsidiary

Responsibilities

• Provides technical expertise and oversight for geotechnical projects across the organization.
• Performs final technical review of reports, calculations, and deliverables prior to approval.
• Ensures quality, accuracy, and timeliness of project deliverables.
• Oversees project performance and supports issue resolution at a strategic level.
• Mentors and develops Senior Project Managers and staff.
• Supports preparation and review of proposals and contracts.
• Participates in and leads technical discussions with clients and project teams.
• Supports departmental operations and financial performance.
• Assists with staffing decisions and team development.
• Contributes to business development and client relationship growth.
• Provides cross-functional technical support, including adjacent service lines.
• Performs other leadership and technical responsibilities as assigned.
