Job summary

National Veterinary Associates is seeking a Construction Manager to lead the delivery of complex capital projects across the United States and Canada, focusing on specialty and emergency veterinary hospital portfolios. You will manage budgets, schedules, and occupancy for facilities often exceeding $20 million, coordinating multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe, timely, and cost-efficient delivery.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering complex construction projects exceeding $20M.
• Experience coordinating multi-disciplinary teams and tenants.
• Familiarity with budgeting, permitting and lease-related timelines.

Responsibilities

• Develop scopes, budgets, cash flow forecasts and schedules for large capital projects.
• Lead budgeting, permitting, construction and occupancy across a portfolio of hospitals.
• Direct architects, engineers, contractors and vendors through all project phases.
• Lead GC bid evaluations, negotiations and awards.
• Oversee construction in occupied facilities with minimal disruption.
• Coordinate with Real Estate and Legal on leasehold issues and approvals.
• Identify cost savings and drive process improvements.
• Analyze needs for minor renovations or new facilities with leadership.
• Prepare budgets and present Capex approvals to leadership.
• Track performance using capex metrics and reporting tools.
• Collaborate with procurement to streamline purchasing.
• Perform additional tasks supporting the business.
