Job summary

Jobgether seeks a Senior Construction Manager in the United States to oversee transmission, distribution, and substation projects. You will coordinate internal teams and external contractors, manage schedules and budgets, and ensure safety and compliance throughout the project lifecycle.

You will mentor construction professionals, lead complex assignments, and support emergency response while maintaining high standards of safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction or related field.
• At least 15 years in field construction and construction management.
• Experience managing large-scale transmission, distribution, or substation projects.
• Strong knowledge of safety, QA/QC, environmental compliance, and regulatory requirements.
• Proven ability to lead contractors and coordinate multidisciplinary teams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to prepare reports and lead meetings.
• Willingness to work extended hours and participate in on-call rotations.
• Eligibility to hold control-center clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead construction and maintenance activities at transmission, distribution, and substation facilities; ensure compliance with plans and standards.
• Champion safety culture; review analyses, address safety concerns, promote safe work methods.
• Coordinate internal teams, contractors, vendors, and stakeholders to resource activities.
• Monitor schedules and budgets; escalate deviations impacting delivery.
• Review designs and material requirements for constructability and readiness.
• Conduct regular site visits to verify contractor compliance with plans and quality standards.
• Prepare progress reports, risk assessments, and cost analyses for management.
• Coordinate material deliveries, equipment, and contractor resources to maintain progress.
• Collaborate with environmental and commissioning teams to meet regulatory obligations.
• Approve contractor timesheets, invoices, and change orders; maintain records.
• Lead status meetings, resolve field issues, oversee QA/QC, support customer meetings.
• Manage closeout activities with proper documentation.
• Mentor other managers and oversee less experienced staff on complex tasks.
• Support emergency response and on-site security clearance readiness.
