Job summary

Vanir Construction Management, Inc. seeks a Senior Construction Manager to support capital improvement and construction projects across Port Angeles, Clallam County, and the Olympic Peninsula.

You’ll provide construction oversight, coordination, schedule and cost monitoring, QA, and client relationship building with experience in transportation, aviation, healthcare, public works, and education sectors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent construction experience required.
• Minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible construction management experience.
• Experience managing complex commercial, institutional, public works projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction means, scheduling, cost controls, contract admin, and docs.
• Experience coordinating contractors, subcontractors, inspectors, and stakeholders.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as owner's representative during construction with observation and coordination.
• Perform on-site observations to assess progress, workmanship, and conformance.
• Monitor schedules, budgets, change orders, RFIs, and cost forecasts.
• Attend coordination and progress meetings and resolve issues.
• Observe safety, quality, and compliance with contract requirements.
• Provide regular reports, risk assessments, and recommendations to leadership.
• Coordinate inspections, testing, commissioning, and project closeout activities.
• Mentor field staff and maintain positive client relationships.
