Job summary

Vanir Construction Management, Inc. is seeking an experienced Senior Construction Manager to join our Pacific Northwest team, supporting capital improvement and construction projects across Pierce and King Counties.

The role emphasizes leadership, technical expertise, and delivering high-quality projects for communities served. As a key owner’s representative, you will oversee construction, coordinate stakeholders, monitor schedule and cost, and guide teams through closeout while fostering

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible experience in construction management or related delivery.
• Experience managing complex commercial, institutional, public works, or capital construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction means/methods, scheduling, cost controls, contract administration, and documentation.
• Experience coordinating contractors, subcontractors, consultants, inspectors, and stakeholders.
• Ability to oversee construction activities independently, identify risks, and resolve challenges.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the owner's representative during construction with leadership and coordination for successful delivery.
• Manage construction-phase activities to ensure alignment with scope, schedule, and budget.
• Oversee contractor performance, field operations, and compliance with contract documents.
• Coordinate with owners, architects, engineers, inspectors, regulators, and stakeholders.
• Review schedules, monitor critical paths, identify delays, and propose corrective actions.
• Monitor budgets, forecasts, change orders, payments, and potential claims.
• Review submittals, RFIs, and changes in coordination with design and PM staff.
• Conduct site observations and progress reviews to verify conformance with contracts.
• Ensure quality assurance and quality control through deficiencies identification and corrective actions.
