Job summary

Vanir is seeking a Senior Construction Manager to lead pre-construction through close-out on complex public and education facilities. You will coordinate with designers, agencies, and contractors to ensure schedules, budgets, and quality meet District standards.

Ideal candidates have fifteen years of experience in construction/project management, a bachelor’s degree in a related field, and CMAA CCM credential or equivalent substitution.

Qualifications

• Fifteen (15) years full-time paid experience in Construction/PM of Commercial/Public/Educational facilities; 5 of the 15 years should coordinate complex projects >$20M.
• Bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering or construction management.
• A CMAA CCM credential may substitute for the education requirement.

Responsibilities

• Manages, oversees, and coordinates all facets of the pre-construction, bid and award, construction and close-out phase of all assigned projects.
• Reviews pre-construction documents and submits comments to Designer as necessary.
• Plans, organizes, and prepares reports to upper management with respect to the status and/or progress of the projects.
• Coordinates with District staff and public agencies during pre-construction and construction to comply with off-site work.
• Monitors project budget monthly and ensures the budget reflects project status.
• Reviews contractor schedules and submittals and coordinates responses to RFCs and related documents.
• Monitors payments to contractors, architects, engineers and others.
• Administers provisions of Professional Service Agreements between Architects and the District.
