Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Senior Construction Manager to provide qualified management of program construction activities in a fast-paced environment. The role involves coordinating daily on-site activities with owners, contractors and design teams, developing schedules, and ensuring adherence to cost, schedule and quality standards.

Ideal candidates have 15+ years of construction management experience and a Bachelor’s degree in construction management or related fields.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management or adjacent engineering disciplines.
• 15+ years of construction management experience.
• OSHA and MSHA training and certifications are highly desirable.
• CCM Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates daily onsite construction activities with owner, contractors, design professionals, clients and external parties.
• Develops and coordinates project schedules, tracks deviations and suggests modifications.
• Reports deviations from contracts and codes to responsible parties until resolution.
• Schedules and coordinates reviews and inspections; maintains records of work and inspections.
• Monitors progress to ensure cost, schedule and quality standards are met.
• Reviews plans, submittals, RFIs, shop drawings and pay applications (QA/QC).
• Prepares final closeout documentation and project-related files.
• Promotes safety controls and trains construction administration staff.
