Job summary

Prospect Park Alliance’s Design & Construction (D+C) department oversees a $130M+ portfolio of capital projects across Prospect Park, including infrastructure upgrades and historic restoration.

The Senior Construction Manager leads on-site construction oversight, contract administration, cost and schedule management, and risk mitigation, collaborating with NYC Parks and contractors to deliver high-quality work on time.

Qualifications

• Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Landscape Architecture, or other relevant discipline.
• Seven to ten years of experience managing construction projects of comparable scale and complexity, including projects in the $1M-$50M+ range, with at least two years over $5M.
• Experience with public-sector capital delivery, historic/landmark buildings, and complex urban site construction is preferred.
• OSHA 30-Hour Construction Outreach Training required or to be obtained within six months of hire.
• Professional CM certification (CACM/CCM) and stormwater/erosion-control training preferred.
• Proficiency with Google Workspace, MS Office, Adobe Creative Suite, Bluebeam; AutoCAD preferred.
• Valid Driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Lead on-site construction oversight, inspecting materials/workmanship for contract compliance and maintaining detailed field records.
• Manage project budgets, schedules, and risk, including change orders and payment requisitions.
• Coordinate with regulators, NYC Parks, utilities, and contractors; prepare bids and assist with procurement; ensure timely submittals and records.
